Monday May 10th

I'm not sure if my problem is lack of discipline or that I just haven't found what works for me. I tried the Special K diet for a week (really less). I struggle becuase I really want a quick fix. I want what will get my thinner NOW and then will work on the eating healthy part. I want to be around 110 before I get pregnant again when that might be in less than a year. Deep down I know I need to learn to eat healthy, to change my bad habits, to really think before I open my mouth and insert food. Slow and steady is the right way to do it.

Lord, help me to be patient, to be smart about what I eat, to make the time to work out. Help me to be ok with slow and steady. To love my body as it is and as it changes. Amen.

Breakfast: cereal w/ 1% milk, 4 cups coffee.

Snack: small piece of ice cream cake

Caught up on housekeeping. It was pointed out to me that I was behind.

Breakfast: 4 cups coffee, Special K Protein Bar

Dinner: Pork chops, salad

Wednesday May 5

We are celebrating Mom's birthday tonight with mexican food!!!

Breakfast: Special K cereal, skim milk, 3 cups coffee.

Lunch: Special K cereal

Dinner: chips, salsa, guac. tacos (beef, salsa, guac, cheese, lettuce), salad with peppers, corn, black beans. Ice cream cake, 2 margaritas.
Family dinner is always going to be a hard night.

No workout today. I had work work to do.

Day 2 of the Special K Diet. I love cereal!!

Breakfast: Special K cereal, 4 cups coffee.

45 minute walk

Snack: banana

Snack: Special K crackers (90 cal)

Lunch: Special K Protein Shake

Snack: Special K protein snack bar, SB Mocha Latte

Dinner: Chicken, broccoli & rice casserole, steamed cauliflower, wheat bread.

Monday May 3

Today is my mom's birthday!

I am going to try the Special K diet that says you can lose an inch in 2 weeks. I weighed 158.5 pounds this morning.

Breakfast: small bowl of Special K with strawberries, 3 cups coffee.

Lunch: Special K protein bar.

Snack: banana

Dinner: Beer battered fish, mac-n-cheese (too much), big salad, wine

I know the best way to drop the weight and keep it off is changing your lifestyle/habits. I just wish it would go faster or that I could drop it fast and then do the healthy eating habits. Slow and steady wins the race is a pain when you are starting out. I have all the head knowledge, it's just so hard to do it and break your old habits. I need to learn to think when I eat. I so often eat without out thinking, or I eat more than I should and don't even realize I am doing it.

Breakfast: 3 cups coffee, granola bar

I was able to pass on the doughnuts and coffee cake at church!!!

Lunch: bowl of Kashi Crisp w/ skim milk

Went to Target to get a dress for the baby dedication next week and some shorts that fit. Decided to try the whole Special K diet thing and got depressed cause it is kinda $$$. I did have coupons and was depressed about my new size 16 shorts and got the Special K food. They say you can lose 1 inch in 2 weeks.

Dinner: 1/2 garlic chicken pizza, wine

Breakfast: eggs, bacon, wheat toast with butter, 2 cinimmon rolls.

2 mile walk.

Lunch: Cheeseburger all the way, fries, Dr. Pepper.

Dinner: McCalls buffet
Need I say more.

It's so hard watching what I eat when in Duplin Co.

How do I watch what I eat when there is so much good food?
